Peter Cistulli MBBS, PhD, MBA, FRACP, FCCP - Peter Cistulli is Professor of Sleep Medicine at The University of Sydney, where he leads the Sleep Research Theme within the multidisciplinary Charles Perkins Centre, and also Heads the Discipline of Sleep Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Health. He is also Director of the Sleep Medicine Program in the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at The Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. He is an active clinician researcher with 28 years experience in the fields of respiratory and sleep medicine. His thematic research has focused on the underlying causes of common sleep disorders and development of novel approaches to therapy. This work has been predominantly funded by the NHMRC of Australia. He has an extensive publication record, and has received national and international awards for his academic contributions to the sleep field. He is a former President of the Australasian Sleep Association and a former board member of the Sleep Health Foundation.
